NCIS: New Orleans” Season 1 Episode 22 “How Much Pain Can You Take?” aired last Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on CBS. In this episode, the stakes got higher and more personal as the team and undercover ATF Agent Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant) raced against time to take down Paul “Baitfish” Jenks (John Livingston), and the mastermind behind a huge operation, Sasha Broussard (Callie Thorne). Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode picked up from where the previous episode left off. NCIS Special Agent Dwayne “King” Pride (Scott Bakula) brought NCIS Special Agent Christopher La Salle (Lucas Black) to the present, as he was staring at his girlfriend’s, Savannah Kelly’s (Gillian Alexy), dead body on the floor. He then told Pride that after dropping his brother off at the bus station, he stopped to buy a bottle of wine, and found her on the floor like that. Dr. Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder) then informed Pride that she had died of a gunshot wound to the chest, and Pride realized that she had been dragged their after she had died for a reason. Just as he realized why her body had been dragged there, they were showered with bullets from an AK47, as their shooter had been inside the apartment across the house.

After making sure that NCIS Special Agent Meredith “Merri” Brody’s (Zoe McLellan) arm got treated as she had gotten cut due to the attack, Pride met up with undercover ATF Agent Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant), who refused to have back up and told him to track her via her cellphone, and agreed to check in every two hours.

Before going to the morgue, Pride received a call from down Paul “Baitfish” Jenks (John Livingston). They then were told that the bullets that hit the officers when they were gunned down had shattered inside their bodies. Back at the NCIS office, they received help from the US Marshalls and Captain Jim Messier (Dylan Walsh). Councilman Douglas Hamilton (Steven Weber) also extended his help to them as he also loved New Orleans. Afterwards, Pride got a text from Sonja saying that she was going to meet up with Jenks.

Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) then informed them that the bullets were metal blended bullets that shattered upon impact, and that more than a thousand bullets of the same kind had been recently stolen by the Navy, who had seized the bullets in Afghanistan.

They were then called by Messier as a truck driver and truck had been hit by two gunmen. Pride then looked for Sonja’s phone, which they found smashed nearby. Unfortunately, Sebastian couldn’t retrace Sonja’s steps as the sim card had been removed. Meanwhile, La Salle discovered that the truck had contained Iraqi war treasure, which Jenks had been after. They then discovered that the truck driver had been part of the Broussard syndicate, especially as the company he worked for belonged to Sasha Broussard’s (Callie Thorne) group. They then were surprised to see Sasha on television, offering a reward of $100,000 for the capture of Jenks.

After paying a visit to Sasha, Jenks surrendered and told them where Sonja was bleeding out to death, as he had shot her in the stomach, and told Pride that he was cutting a deal with the US Attorney, as he was planning on selling out Sasha.

After bringing Sonja to the ICU, Hamilton helped buy some time for them with Assistant US Attorney Karen Izzo (Sharon Conley), who gave them twelve hours to build a case against Jenks.

They then discovered the bullets and counterfeit money on the boat called “Cousin Marie”, the shrimp trawler that Pride had first arrested him in, as he had mentioned it to Sonja.

Meanwhile, Savannah’s father gave La Salle a necklace she had wanted to give to him and asked for justice for Savannah.

Because everything was coming in and out of the New Orleans docks, they realized that Sasha was behind everything as her businesses contracted with ships, trucks, and the Navy. However, she refused to take the deal that Pride was offering her-to turn herself in so that Jenks would get life in prison.

While they were escorting Jenks out, they were hit by several gunned men, which allowed Jenks to escape to a warehouse. As La Salle had chased after him, Brody called up Pride. Thankfully, they managed to reach him before La Salle could shoot Jenks, and Pride managed to talk him out of getting vengeance for Savannah. However, Jenks was shot by another shooter in the head, who managed to escape.

After two days, Pride visited Sasha in prison, who refused to talk and warned him that a something big, a storm, was coming to New Orleans, and that they wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Meanwhile, Brody and Sonja began to inspect one hundred acres worth of Navy containers in order to discover or to get a clue as to what exactly Sasha was alluding to.
