In this episode, the NCIS team stumbled across a joint Task Force sting with NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee’s (Sean Muray) girlfriend, Department of Defense Agent Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman) in it. It was after they discovered a dead thief in a Marine’s house, which later pointed to a terrorist operating in the United States. Read on to learn more about this episode.
The episode opened with a woman with drill bits from a hardware store getting killed in the garage of a house.
At the NCIS office, NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) offered to let Agent Tina Larson crash at his apartment for a while as she still had to go apartment hunting. He then realized that NCIS Special Agents Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop (Emily Wickersham) were watching him, especially as his girlfriend, Department of Defense Agent Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman) was currently in Dubai. They were then interrupted by NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), who ushered them to a house where a woman had been stabbed to death in the garage of a house.
There, they discovered that she had drill bits. According to the evidence and the Marine who owned the house, all of their exercise equipment had been stolen, and the woman, who was identified as Mallory Bleeker, had stayed there for quite a while. Forensic Special Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) then discovered that the wife, a personal trainer, had been at a Health Spa for four days, and she had posted it on a social media site. Later, at the morgue, Dr. Donald “Duckie” Mallard (David McCallum) discovered a paper with a logo inside her clothes.
Tony then talked to Scott Bleeker, Mallory’s brother, who didn’t know anything about the symbol. However, McGee recognized it and emailed it to Delilah who confirmed that it was the logo of a terrorist group called “The Dragon’s Tooth.” They needed to talk right away, as that group was currently active. They then video conferenced with Delilah and her team leader, Homeland Special Agent Ali Rolfi. He seemed to be too comfortable with Delilah, much to McGee’s dismay, and who didn’t respect Director Leon Vance’s (Rocky Carroll) position as director. They were then informed that the terrorist was a certain Omer Malik, who was related to the bomber who had paralyzed Delilah.
Later, thanks to the Marine and his wife, Abby discovered that Malik, under the alias Henry Pecan had been talking to a certain E. Pistachio and that they were supposed to meet at his apartment. There, they took the pizza from the pizza boy coming upstairs and used it as a cover to get inside the apartment. However, when the time of the meeting neared, the NCIS team discovered that Delilah. She had been in the United States for a week now, was E. Pistachio, as it had been an undercover operation.
At the NCIS office, McGee complained to Tony that Delilah hadn’t replied to his six calls and his numerous texts. Ali then came to them in order to watch the tapes they had found at the apartment. It was revealed that he had been breaking and entering into empty military homes and he wore the uniforms and other things to highlight the fact that they were all vulnerable. They then also learned, thanks to Abby, that the cameraman was the pizza boy that they had encountered, who told them that E. Pistachio was Malik’s “perfect weapon.” Gibbs then wanted McGee to bring Delilah in so that they could use her as bait, but McGee asked to talk to her first about it.
At the safe house, the two fought but were interrupted by Malik, who tied them up together. Because McGee wasn’t answering his phone at all, Gibbs took Ali, who had just arrived and was flirting with Larson and asked for the address of the safe house.
McGee and Delilah tried to convince Malik, who filmed them and who had followed McGee, that Delilah was still with Malik, who told her to prove it by shooting McGee, whom he had a pistol whipped. However, Delilah dropped the gun. He didn’t get McGee’s message that the pistol wasn’t loaded. She then stabbed him in the leg with a knife from her boot. After Gibbs, Tony and Ellie arrested Malik, McGee finally gave Delilah a proper hello by kissing her.
The next day, McGee smiled at the fact that Ali had been suspended and discovered that Delilah was now the team leader, and that she was being transferred back to DC.
