According to Ad Week, the three minute ad is said to be a sequel to the 2004 ad starring “Moulin Rouge!” actress Nicole Kidman directed by Baz Luhrmann. The current Chanel ad featuring “The Devil Wears Prada” actress is also directed by 53 year old Luhrmann. The sequences of both the ads are relatively coherent and are super awesome.
The current advertisement is created in a drenched backdrop along with the grease upbeat hit song “You’re the One That I Want” the emotional song, although it is beautifully arranged and performed by Lo-Fang. The ad has already crossed 1 million views on YouTube in last 24 hours with mixed responses by the fans and followers.
Ina recent interview director Luhrmann mentioned that, the stunning Gisele is the script itself and the Chanel film is about this woman who is mom, who has a relationship and has a real good job. He further added that he know her since she was young and started working, the ad film is about such woman who is so much evolved in life.
The Chanel marketing has key factor of high end production which is actually the part of luxary band image. The Nicole Kidman ad that was shot in 2004 is said to have costed around $42 million. In fact, it is reportedly said that the 2012 ad that features Brad Pitt merely for 30 seconds cost $7 million to the company.
