Knicks management reports that Latvian pro basketball player, Kristaps Porzingis is good at the game. The player who was the fourth overall pick for the New York Knicks is garnering admiration for his playing technique and soft skills from the team who picked him. Read on.
Porzingis is known for being flight–footed while playing and this makes him fast on the court, but his small frame and light-weightedness is a problem in the NBA championship, where most players are big hulking mass of muscles. For this reason, one of the first things Porzingis was asked to do was put on some weight. The Latvian boy was asked to put on 15 pounds to bulk up for the championship next year. He is doing his best to bulk up, if rumors are to be believed. The boy has put on 11 pounds already and has decided to pack on four more pounds by mid-week next week. The Knicks are looking forward to seeing him play center next season, although he will probably do good as the power forward too.
The management has nothing but good things to say about Porzingis. The twenty-year-old is always the first one on the court for practice at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. Everybody is very happy with his attitude towards work. He looks like he is trying to belong with the team and the team appreciates it. Knicks’ president Phil Jackson was all praise for Porzingis. He was appreciative of the fact that the twenty-year-old shows an appetite for the game with his enthusiasm for it. Coach Derek Fisher is just as happy. He was proud of the fact that Porzingis has already beaten him at the game a couple of times. The fact that the boy is punctual is also a plus.
The team expects good things from Porzingis this offseason and the 2016 season of NBA.
