The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder, 36 got married to the former “Twilight” star Nikki Reed, 26 in a very private sunset ceremony on April 26 in Tuscali Mountain Inn in Topanga, California. Now that the shooting of the “Vampire Diaries” are wrapped up for this season and Nikki is also free from any commitments for now, the newly married couple have decided to travel the world together as their honeymoon plan to celebrate their marriage.

Paul Wesley, Kat Graham, Lea Michelle were the few stars who were spotted on Ian and Nikki’s big day. Former flame Nina Dobrev although invited, chose not to be a part of the wedding as she believed that her presence could make things awkward for the couple. Nina and Ian dated for a while and broke up in 2013. They continued to work together in “The Vampire Diaries” until earlier this April. Nina confirmed her exit from the show. Nikki could be relieved about this.

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder tied the knot after nine months of dating. They have a mutual interest for animal life so much that they requested their guests to donate to their favorite animal rescue charity as their wedding gift. Ian has his own animal rescue charity called the IanSomerhalder Foundation. This unconventional couple never fail to surprise us. They have been very spontaneous about their decisions in life. Be it dating or marriage, Ian and Nikki have been taking their love in all new levels. After Ian and Nina broke up, fans were very intrigued to know if they were planning to rekindle their relationship again. But sadly to our disappointment, they mutually parted ways. In about a year, Ian started seeing Nikki.
