With the 2015 NFL trade deadline falling on Nov. 3, 2015, it is not a surprise that several trade rumors are emerging. Read on to know the recent NFL trade rumors relating Vernon Davis of San Francisco 49ers, and Matt Forte of Chicago Bears.
The San Francisco 49ers is looking for a trade option for their tight end player Vernon Davis. The fact that Davis is in the final year of his deal with the team makes him a deadline target, reported CBS Sports.
“Nice little pre-trading deadline flash for Vernon Davis. Numerous teams have called to explore his availability,” CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora said in his tweet.
According to Bleacher Report, Davis has been working with the 49ers since he started his football career. Now, he is not the player he was before. However, he has shown some signs of improvement while playing against the Seattle Seahawks. The source also reported that the player would be an “unrestricted free agent this offseason.”
“I have no intention of going anywhere. But sometimes things happen and you just have to be prepared for it,” Davis said.
The 31-year-old tight end player recently revealed his feelings about the trade involving him. Davis is actually upset about the prospective trade.
The Chicago Bears is considering a deal with their running back player Matt Forte. However, the team does not expect anything in exchange for him due to his high salary and age.
Forte’s performance has never declined drastically during his entire career with the Bears. It is likely that the player would become a free agent this offseason. The Bears might suffer without Forte, particularly when their receiving corps is injured.
There is more chance that Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers and Matt Forte of the Chicago Bears might change uniforms before the 2015 NFL trade season closes.
