The breakup rumors about Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are “completely untrue,” according to the television personality’s father Lionel Richie. Read for more details.
Rumors have been spinning for months that the “#CandidlyNicole” star was separating from her husband, who is the lead vocalist for the American pop punk band Good Charlotte. The 33-year-old celebrity and the 36-year-old rocker have two children including Harlow, 7, and Sparrow, 5.
However, now Richie’s famous father, Lionel Richie told HELLO! Daily News that the breakup rumor surrounding her daughter and his son-in-law is not true.
“It’s completely untrue,” Richie said.
The 65-year-old “All Night Long” singer also told that the couple is not getting a divorce. He added that the couple recently listed their Beverly Hills mansion for $3.5 million. Then, the two moved to their newly bought home along with their children.
The legendary singer also revealed that he discussed about the breakup rumors with his daughter, while he visited Nicole’s new house. He confessed that his daughter is not worried about the rumor.
“Nah, it’s OK,” Nicole said as a reply to her father.
However, the caring father said to his daughter, “Rumors you don’t worry about. It’s when they print something and it’s true you need to worry,” according to reports from the source.
Earlier in 2014, Nicole told Sirius radio that she is excited to add more children to their family.
“I’m so happy with what I have and I had more of course I’d be so happy. But right now, I’m good,” Nicole said.
Last year, Nicole told Oprah Winfrey, American media proprietor and talk show host, that she and her husband have had “ups and downs” with their parents and they “don’t really have a strong example of what a healthy family life is.”
“But, we’re recognizing that now, so let’s work at it and let’s go through this together as a team. It’s been great,” said Nicole.
Nicole and the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador may not be speaking out against the rumors. However, according to reports, the couple was recently spotted walking hand-in-hand to a U2 concert held in Los Angeles.
