There’s nothing more awkward when you still work with your ex-boyfriend who recently got married. Well, in some cases, it is awkward. But what about Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder? Former flames, both in one show “The Vampire Diaries?” What does Dobrev have to say about Somerhalder and Reed who recently tied the knot? Read on for more details.

Before the show wrapped up, Christian Times reported that news about Dobrev leaving the series after six seasons erupted and she confirmed that she is indeed, leaving the show. However, some say that she’s leaving because of Somerhalder who is now married to Reed.

Dobrev denied such rumors and clarified that she’s not leaving the show because of her ex-boyfriend. In fact, they remain friends and professional.

“I’ve said this before, that we didn’t break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn’t love or friendship,” Dobrev said.

And what can she say about Somerhalder and Reed’s wedding? Well, she said that it was beautiful and they look happy and she’s glad to see them.

“When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful. They look happy and I am happy, and so I don’t see why there should be a problem with that. The drama is in the media, it’s not with us,” Dobrev said.

Well, then that clears the air! There are no ill feelings or anything between the former lovers.

Dobrev is now moving onto a different path as she leaves the show that she’s been in for 6 years. I wonder what’s next for her?
