Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are NOT open to have a reunion in “The Vampire Diaries?” Is the actor being too full of himself after his ex’s departure? Read On!
“The Vampire Diaries” stars, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have been targeted by rumors ever since they broke up and Nikki Reed came into the picture. However, it was not the only controversy that surrounds the former couple. Rumor has it says that when Elena was axed to the show, the staff reportedly been expressing that they rather choose the actor to leave the teen series than Dobrev!
According to KDrama Stars, there were reports that hint Elena Gilbert’s comeback in the show. This speculation emerged when the actress is yet to make deals with what she will be doing next. Is she really not up for new movies and series because she’s still eyeing her comeback to the vampire-themed series?
Movie News Guide previously reported that Paul Wesley, who plays the role of Stefan Salvatore, seemed giving a hint to Dobrev’s possible return to the seventh season of the series.
In his interview, Wesley admitted that Elena’s character is “still a very big part of the story.” Yet, since there’s no confirmation, the speculations died down until there is staff from the show who’re expressing that they want Dobrev back.
As if on cue, the rumors escalated around the web once again when the reports about the show’s “team” fueled it. Apparently, the site added that the staff wanted to work with Dobrev and not with Somerhalder—they would rather kick out the actor than “The Final Girls” actress.
The gossip site noted that the speculations hinted that the TVD production staff finds the 36-year-old actor to be too conceited of himself as he spilled out some details about the show. The actor allegedly explained how great it is that the “The Vampire Diaries” story is now focused on Damon, his character, after his ex-girlfriend’s departure.
Reed’s husband noted in his interview that he just started shooting the tenth episode of the series, then he pointed out that “the episode was really about Damon,” however Somerhalder said, “that’s not why I think it was the best at all.”
“The way the story was put together … every artisan from set to producers to wardrobe to everyone was just so on-point,” the actor added. (Is he really being too self-satisfied on how the story goes or he’s just bluntly saying how the episode will flow?)
On the other hand, KPop Starz reported that Dobrev allegedly dismissed the rumors of her possible comeback as there are reports that the actress wanted to break free from her previous work.
The actress noted that she wanted to do a “dark and gritty” roles in the future.
“I want to work with directors that I admire and that will make me better and actors that will challenge me and scare the sh*t out of me,” Nina Dobrev said.
