“Legend of Zelda” might soon be turned into a feature film as the creators from Nintendo are looking forward towards extending the possibilities for a production house in the entertainment industry. In order to expand Nintendo’s future in the entertainment industry, Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka talked about converting the high fantasy live-action “Legend of Zelda” video game into a movie. Only sometimes back, there were rumors that “Legend of Zelda” is being produced under Netflix series productions, but Miyamoto completely denied of its development saying that information is not correct, reported LatinPost.
Nintendo was completely against turning their video games like “Legend of Zelda” and “Super Mario” into movies but a change of events has definitely a feature film under work. Miyamoto and Tezuka both agreed that Nintendo needs a better future prospect.
In conversation with MTV, Miyamoto revealed saying, “As Nintendo is an entertainment company we think about ways of expanding outside of video games and not being limited. So we do not have anything in the immediate works but we are definitely interested and open to it.”
When asked as to who will be playing the coy character of Link. Miyamoto said that he does not see any Japanese actor playing the character of Link. They want a boy-like girl who can portray the character of Link for “Zelda” series.
He further explained that Japanese TV uses the same actor again and again so it’s definitely not going to be Japanese.
Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka also opened up about plans for “Super Mario” movie. According to Tezuka, the Mario brothers can be best played by twin brothers. To which, Miyamoto cleared that it has not to be a celebrity sibling or look-alike twins, but they have to be family to understand the bond of Mario brothers.
