In spite the high ratings of Nickelodeon’s “Sam & Cat,” the show will no longer air for Season 2 because of alleged strife between stars, Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy. Want to know more about this scoop? Read on and find out what’s going on with “Sam & Cat.”

The Daily News reported that Ariana Grande confirmed the cancellation of her show with actress Jennette McCurdy. On Ariana’s Twitter page, she said she kept silent about the end of the show because she felt she was not the right person to make the announcement.

Ariana’s post was lengthy, thanking Nickelodeon for bringing her childhood dream into reality and for being a family to her. She added that despite being very busy with a lot of other projects, “Sam & Cat” producers and staff remained supportive and accommodating of her. She was able to express her heartfelt gratitude to everyone including Dan Schnieder, the creator of the show, and her fans. Apparently, she had no farewell message for Jennette.

Sometime in April 2014, rumors came out regarding the conflict between Ariana and Jennette. According to reports, the issue was the result of disagreement about the salaries the two actresses had been receiving. However, Ariana denied the issue saying that there was no problem in terms of equal treatment with her and Jennette in the show.

Also in her tweet, Ariana said that she was clueless where all the issues were coming from. Once and for all, she wanted to clarify everything about these.

The show’s last episode with the title “#GettinWiggy” will be aired on Thursday, July 17, 2014, as posted by The Holllywood Life. “Sam & Cat” was initially set for 20 episodes, but because of the high rating it received from viewers, it was given slots for 20 more episodes. Unfortunately, some issues came up, so only 36 episodes were made.

Before Nickelodeon’s announcement on July 12, 2014 about the last two episodes of the show, Jennette became the talk of the town because of the controversy about her allegedly leaked naked photos, aside from the unending rumors that she and Ariana could not get along well. Some suspected that it was because of the photo scandal that Jennette did not show up at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

So it is really the end for “Sam & Cat,” but Nickelodeon said in a statement that it is so proud of the show and its very talented cast.

Well wishes go to Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy in their future careers from Movie News Guide (MNG).
