‘Now You See Me 2’ First Cast Photo Reveals Short-Haired Jesse Eisenberg

One of the mysteries in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is that if Jesse Eisenberg, who will play the villain Lex Luthor, will shave his head similar to the character’s appearance in the comics. Well, mystery solved. Fandango unveils a pic from the behind-the-scenes set of “Now You See Me 2,” with Eisenberg sporting a much shorter hairstyle. Read on for more details on this story.

Fandango releases a behind-the-scenes set photo of the cast of “Now You See Me 2.” The pic includes the original pic’s cast members: Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Michael Caine, Lizzy Caplan and new to the franchise, Daniel Radcliffe. In the photo, view it here, we can see that Eisenberg is sporting a much shorter hairstyle, which might indicate that the 31-year-old actor might’ve shaved his head for his role as Lex Luthor in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

“Now You See Me 2” is the sequel to the 2013 hit caper thriller and will see the return of Mark Ruffalo as Dylan Rhodes,  Woody Harrelson as Merit McKinney, Eisenberg as J. Daniel “Danny” Atlas, Isla Fisher as Henley Reeves, Dave Franco as Jack Wilder, Morgan Freeman as Thaddeus Bradley  and Michael Cain as Arthur Tressler. New to the cast is actor Daniel Radcliffe, who is set to play the role of Arthur Tressler’s son. “Now You See Me 2” will be directed by Jon M. Chu, who would be replacing Leterrier as director, and is produced by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Bobby Cohen. It will open in theaters by June 10, 2016, facing off with Sony’s “Uncharted,” based on the video game of the same name.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros.’ “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is  scheduled to release in the United States on March 25, 2016 and in the United Kingdom on April 29, 2016 in 3D. “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder, who also directed the pic “Man of Steel.” It is the intended sequel to 2013’s “Man of Steel” and the second installment in the DC Comics’ shared universe films.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” stars Henry Cavill, who reprises his role as Clark Kent/Superman from 2013’s “Man of Steel,” Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

Pre-production began at East Los Angeles College in October 2013 while principal photography started in May 2014 in Detroit, Michigan. A sequel was announced at 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, after the release of “Man of Steel.”
