According to Bravotv.com, the event started with the “Odd Mom Out” screening at the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF) theater in the Upper East Side. Before the tape rolled, the show’s star Jill Kargman and some of the higher-ups gave a humorous welcome toast.
The reception and after-party was held at Casa Lever restaurant. Cocktails inspired by “Odd Mom Out” like Odd-ka Soda, Mom-itos and Mum & Coke were served.
Some celebrities who walked the red carpet were Nate Berkus, Vanessa Bayer, Katie Couric, Stacy Bendet, Chris Elliot and Julianna Margulies.
In light with the “Odd Mom Out” premiere, the show’s Tune-In to Win sweepstakes happened on Monday, June 8, 2015 during the pilot episode. Viewers have to watch the premiere live and wait for a hashtag to turn up on screen. They must tweet the hashtag for a chance to win $20,000.
Keith Uhlich from the Hollywood Reporter is the first top critic to invade Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic reviews on “Odd Mom Out.” He stated that Kargman’s “aim” is “consistently true” in the new sitcom.
Uhlich described “Odd Mom Out” as a “quick-witted” comedy series. He explained that the show is a TV adaptation of Kargman’s book in 2007, “Momzillas.” Kargman plays the character named Jill Weber who dislikes spas, shopping, and Pilates unlike her family and neighbors. Jill is more of “a punk with a wrist tattoo.”
“Odd Mom Out” is Bravo’s newest 10-episode scripted sitcom, which focuses on the life of Jill Weber. She goes on a journey within the elite community of Upper East Side in New York.
“Odd Mom Out” airs every Monday at 10:00 p.m. on Bravo.
