“X-Men: Apocalypse” will see the “X-Men” fighting against the first mutant of the “X-Men” Universe, Apocalypse. Things are naturally expected to go out of limits when the mutants will clash against a God. Quite opposite to what the movie is really about, recently the makers found a rather amusing way to let the movie’s official synopsis out and it couldn’t have been any more cartoonish.
According to Coming Soon, 20th Century Fox and Mars Chocolate North America, recently announced a partnership between M&M and “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Following the announcement, a very adorable picture of Magneto and Storm was also shared in the form of an M&M. There was an elaborate press release about the partnership but it was the official synopsis hidden away in the press release that caught everyone’ attention.
The synopsis starts with a brief description of Apocalypse and calls him as the being that was worshipped as God. It further describes that Apocalypse amassed every mutant’s power becoming immortal and invincible.
It also describes how after having been awakened after a thousand years, the God like mutant is disappointed at what the world has become and thus recruits other mutants to help him resettle the world, which he will later rule.
These chosen mutants aka Magneto, Storm, Psylocke and Angel become Apocalypse’s four horsemen. In order to stop this threat, Raven, with the help of Professor Charles Xavier, lead a team of mutants so that they can save the mankind from complete annihilation.
As far as the cast is concerned, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne will return and Oscar Isaac is starring as the main antagonist.
Newsarama added that this official synopsis formalizes every detail about the movie that has been made available in the last few months. Earlier, Hugh Jackman too was speculated to star in the movie, but with him declaring that “Wolverine 3” will be his last appearance as the clawed mutant, all speculations fizzled out.
