One Direction (1D) to split! Is this really the end of the boyband?
1D started their humble beginning at the seventh series of the British televised singing competition “The X Factor” in 2010. Since then, the band gained fans from all over the world and won several awards from different award giving bodies. However, it seems like the year 2015 is the band’s biggest and heaviest year, as they faced different hiatus, professionally and personally.
These problems led to so many speculations that maybe it was a sign that the band should split for now. And it seems like the rumors are now coming to light as 1D source confirmed that the band is set to part ways.
According to Mail Online, 1D decided to take a break and part ways to focus on their solo careers since each of them has already build up an image in the music industry.
In a report by The Sun, the 21-year-old Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Harry Styles and the 23-year-old Louis Tomlinson have agreed that they will move on to have an extended hiatus this time around to pursue their solo projects and careers.
The agreement took place to not have a tour again when the four met in London just last weekend.
Even though it’s a devastating news, fans should openly accept that their beloved band will not be having a tour to promote their fifth album. Meaning, One Direction will have their last full concert as a band this year at Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield two months from now—October 31.
A 1D source said that the guys have been together for five years now, which only means that their band had run an incredible career in the music industry. But now, it seems like they need to focus on their own for at least a year.
The source also added that the members deserve to have at least one year of working on their own crafts, their own projects. This doesn’t mean that 1D is having fight over something, the source said that Styles, Horan, Tomlinson and Payne are 100 percent okay with this kind of arrangement and have decided on their own.
Fans should not panic as the source guaranteed that this is NOT forever, and the split is just for the time being and that the band fully intend to get back together in the future.
Moreover, the source clarified that the split has nothing to do with Zayn Malik’s departure from the band earlier this year.
On the other hand, One Direction will be having multiple TV appearances before the year ends.
