One Direction Harry Styles reportedly wrote the band’s “Olivia” song thinking about a certain person—is it Louis Tomlinson or Taylor Swift? Read on!
One Direction Harry Styles shows off his songwriting skills once again as he penned the band’s “Olivia” together with Julian Bunetta and John Ryan and as expected it was given different interpretations. Gossip sites claim that the song is dedicated to none other than Taylor Swift…or Louis Tomlinson! Well, be the judge on the evidence that these gossip sites are claiming to be a major hint!
According to Hollywood Life, the “Olivia” song is all about Larry Stylinson—the bromance is the topic once again! Any proof? Of course, there’s a “major” evidence on this claim!
The site reported both Tomlinson and Styles have previously posted the word #olive way back Aug. 10, 2011, at 5:03 am (yes, same date, same time—coincidence?).

What’s so giddy about it? Well, the site noted that if the “Olive” word is said using a British accent repeatedly a few times fast like in the song, it will sound like “I Love.”
Does it mean this two hunk over here secretly shouting that they love each other using the word olive? Bromance indeed!
Meanwhile, Bustle website has its own interpretation as they claim that the song is for Swifty! How is that possible?
In the site’s post, they pointed out that since Styles is the songwriter of the song there’s a possibility that Olivia was inspired by the “Shake It Off” singer because of the song’s lyrics that seems to be a “little too obvious to ignore.”
Remember Swift’s “Clean” song and its iconic line: “You’re still all over me like a wine-stained dress I can’t wear anymore.” Well, technically it sounds so much alike with Styles “This isn’t the stain of a red wine, I’m bleeding love” line in “Olivia.” Does it make sense now?
Is he answering Swifty’s song or it is just a mere delusion?
On the other hand, Bunetta opened up about 1D’s song and how the tune was arranged.
The 33-year-old songwriter revealed that they were actually blank for a couple of days—they can’t even write anything, however, out of nowhere, Styles suddenly blurted out the chorus phase of the song and they wrote it down until they finished it! They recorded it afterwards and it was all done!
“This one is very near and dear to my heart. Harry, John [Ryan, co-writer] and I… It makes me so happy. But ‘Olivia’ was Harry’s genius,” Bunneta said.
