One Direction decided to swamp the crowd with their rocking hits one last time before their extended hiatus starts, and the platform is the one that they started with, five years back! Yes, they performed in the Grand Finale of X Factor UK yesterday, and needless to say, the crowd went absolutely bonkers. But the question is what will we do in the next 18 months without fangirling?
One Direction was formed in 2010, with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik (Bless Simon Cowell’s soul), but the fifth one left the team in last March, and it’s been quite a traumatic year for the fans. But the other four continued to be musical prodigies as they released their fifth album, “Made in the A.M” which was mind blowing.
They have returned to perform in the same stage one more time, in “X factor UK” Season 12. They have also earned respect and a massive round of applause from huge personalities like Danny Devito and James Corden.
The whole arena was emotional, would be an understatement when they performed two of their mind bunkering hit’s “History” and “Infinity” from their latest album.
Cowell seemed overwhelmed and that’s nothing weird because he practically seen them flourishing from level zero. According to Billboard, praising the band, Cowell said, “I know you’re gonna take a break, you deserve the break. I want to really just take the chance now to say thank you. You’ve been an absolute pleasure to work with… Five of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Enjoy the time off. Have a fantastic time.”
I guess my eyes are just sweating!
A good number of famous personalities like James Corden, Robbie Williams, Danny Devito, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Jack Whitehall, 5 Seconds of Summer, David Beckham and Little Mix paid their tribute to One Direction. Even a few goodbye messages shown in the episode after a few minutes, #ThisisnottheendofOneDirection trended on twitter.
We wish the British lads an amazing break ahead and get back on the stage ASAP and bring back all the love, cheers, and nostalgia. Share your thoughts on the last performance of One Direction in the comments below.
