The boys of One Direction killed it in their “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) performance of "Night Changes" and "Ready to Run.” Both tracks came from their latest album titled “FOUR,” which was released last Nov. 17, 2014.

Their weekend gig marked Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne’s third appearance on “SNL.” They first appeared on the show with Sofia Vergara of “Modern Family” in 2012 then returned the following year with Paul Rudd hosting.

Dressed in an all black ensemble, the band kept things low key for their "Night Changes" rendition. Niall Horan even brought out his guitar to match the mood for the ballad.

“Night Changes” is Style's favorite track from the “FOUR” album, as previously reported by Gossip Cop. He also co-wrote the song with fellow band member Louis Tomlinson.

In addition to performing songs, the boys also acted in a few sketches. The crowd favorite was the “Girlfriends Talk Show” skit, wherein the boys wore matching cheerleader outfits.

The boyband also took the time to promote new holiday show on Dec. 23, 2014 called "One Direction: The TV Special". The one-hour documentary, airing on NBC, would follow the boys as they performed and toured all around the world.

In addition to their line up of tours and TV Special, One Directioners could also look forward to seeing more of the boys in the big screen. In last month’s interview with the Sun, as reported by Sugarscape, Liam confirmed that they are also working on their fifth album. The singer, however, warned fans that the new album might carry a different, much more mature beat than fans were used to.

"We might do a different approach. That's what the meeting is about. We haven't really had time to sit and write the album proper. It's always pretty rushed. And that's the main thing for us – we just love making the music," Payne said on Sugarscape.
