One Direction’s New Album: Will They Write about Zayn Malik?

Despite Zayn Malik‘s controversial exit, One Direction is currently working on a new album. Reports suggested that the boys are going to write a song about Malik’s departure. Read on for further details.

The remaining four has been “channeling their emotions” to create one track. According to, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles were deeply saddened by Malik leaving the group, which led to a plan especially dedicated for the missing member.

“They are even toying with a song inspired by Zayn quitting the band,” a source told

The insider assured One Direction fans that the Malik-inspired song would not be “a diss track.” Calling names were never an option for the band. Instead, the four heartthrobs were discussing how to put their emotions into the song. The site also reported that the band is making sure to release a successful album even without Malik.

Aside from the insider’s claims, the band itself confirmed writing for their next album. Tomlinson recently posted on Instagram showing he and Payne during their first day of writing songs.

Talking about Tomlinson’s Instagram, NOW Magazine also reported about Eleanor Calder taking Tomlinson’s account off her own. Calder has been noticeably updating her account more often than the usual since their breakup. Her move to unfollow Tomlinson became a more awkward though because she is still following Payne and Horan.

Despite the unfollow drama on Instagram, Calder still follows Tomlinson on Twitter. NOW added that Calder is not using her Twitter account for more than a year already.
