Former child actress Mary-Kate Olsen’s marriage to Olivier Sarkozy last Friday is the much talked about topic these days. The fiercely private couple had wanted it to be a closely guarded affair with only a few chosen attended the wedding, leaving many uninvited. Read on to find more about this.
The intimate ceremony, which was attended by only 50 guests comprising close family members and friends of the couple, was held at a private residence located in Manhattan. It has been claimed that the extremely private couple had asked all the guests to hand over their mobile phones before entering the venue in order to maintain privacy. It is unknown whether any one from the “Full House” family was on the list of invitees apart from Ashley Olsen who is her twin sister. Bob Saget who played the role of a father to the actress onscreen for nearly a decade was not invited either.
Confirming their marriage, Bob Saget said that though he was not invited on their special day, he is still very happy for her. He said that upon hearing the news he has even sent her a text message congratulating her on her marriage. He said that he has maintained friendly terms with Mary Kate and sister Ashley both of whom played the role of his daughters on “Full House” from the year 1987 to 1995. He had even went out to dinner with Many Kate’s sister Ashley just two weeks back. Talking to NBC’s Today he was heard saying,” I’m very happy. I love her very much. I hope they’re happy” on Mary-Kate Olsen’s marriage to Olivier Sarkozy.
The couple had been dating for three years until previous year 2014 when they got engaged. Olivier Sarkozy had proposed Mary Kate Olsen the second time with a 4-carat vintage Cartier diamond ring last year, when she accepted the proposal. The first time when the half-brother of former President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy had proposed, the actress said she was not ready to take the plunge.
