OrangeHeads, your favorite show is back! In the Season 2 premiere of “Orange Is the New Black,” going back to prison has never felt so good! Read on for the recap of the “Orange Is the New Black” Season 2’s first three new episodes!

The season kicked off with Episode1 “Thirsty Bird.” We saw Piper (Taylor Schilling) again who was staying in solitary after the attack that happened with Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning). She started losing her mind, then she got dragged to Chicago and did not have any idea why she was there.

During the whole bus ride to Chicago, Piper made a new friend, Lolly (Lori Petty), and she told Lolly about what happened to her and Pennsatucky. When they got to Chicago, to a new prison, she found herself with aggressive women as her bunk buddies. Once on the yard, she triggers a fight that involves Lolly, which led to the yard going on lockdown. Piper was shocked to see Alex (Laura Prepon) there as well.

Piper talked to Alex, and she learned that she did not kill Pennsatucky, and they were there to testify against Cooper, the drug lord that Alex worked for. The best thing that both of them should do is to lie, considering Cooper’s taste for revenge.

The first episode of Season 2 was loaded with a lot of flashbacks to Piper’s youth, when she found out about her father’s affair and learned of moral gray zones for the very first time. We also saw the drug-trafficking days that Piper and Alex have shared.

Piper and Howard (Todd Susman) met up to talk about Piper’s testimony. Howard told Piper to tell the truth. However, on the stand, she still lied in order to protect herself and Alex. Because of this, she lost Howard as well as Larry (Jason Biggs), her former fiancé. However, Alex told the truth, and Piper was left, screwed.

Episode 2 “Looks Blue, Tastes Red” took us back to Litchfield prison to reunite us with the ensemble cast of the show while Alex and Piper were still in Chicago. The episode opened with the women of Litchfield preparing for a mock job fair, and we saw Taystee (Danielle Brooks) so excited for the job interview competition.

Gloria (Selenis Leyva) was still running the kitchen and still acted as a surrogate mother to Daya (Dascha Polanco), who was still pregnant. Pennsatucky was released with her teeth looking much worse, and some of her inmate followers said that it’s been peaceful without her around. Healy (Michael Harney)  negotiated with Pennsatucky to keep mum about the truth about the fight with Piper in exchange to have her teeth fixed.

In other news, Red (Kate Mulgrew) learned that she was broke and had no more money in her prison account and inmates started to ignore her. Her son came by to inform her that their business was in trouble but assured her mother that he would fix it.

In this episode, we saw the story behind Taystee, and she won the interview competition as well. Then we saw Vee (Lorraine Toussaint) standing, wearing an orange jumpsuit.

Moving on in Episode 3 “Hugs Can Be Deceiving, we welcomed Piper back in Litchfield. As much as we were happy that she was back there, inmates were not very happy to see her because she was greeted by frightened stares and a lot of gawking. She had a new inmate as well, Brook (Kimiko Glenn).

Vee’s arrival to Litchfield wasn’t really new because she was once locked up there years ago. Because of this, she brought with her the veteran mentality. She was still not okay with Taystee because Vee went into hiding when Taystee needed her the most.

At the penitentiary, Daya and Bennett’s (Matt McGorry) relationship was still thriving, while Lorna learned that her fiancé, Chris (Stephen O’Reilly), was getting married to another woman. Moreover, Piper was still mad at Alex, who was released from prison, and this pent-up anger blew up. Unfortunately, Brook was the recipient.

Outside of prison, Larry went out on a date even though he misses his ex so much. He also learned that Andrew (Richard Gallager), a journalist for the City Post, was working on an article about fraud and embezzlement at Litchfield and wanted to use Piper as his source.

In this episode, we learned about Crazy Eyes’ (Uzo Aduba) story who was an outcast since childhood, and this isolation hasn’t ended even in prison. However, Vee respected Crazy Eyes. It turned out that Crazy Eyes was the reason why Pennsatucky and Piper’s fight was broken up because she knocked Piper out while she was fighting with Pennsatucky.

By the end of this episode, Vee was fixing her relationship with Taystee.
