Orlando Bloom who is known for his roles in epics fantasies like “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and “Pirates of the Caribbean” series had a bad start for his visit to India. Bloom was supposedly here for the promotion of tourism, but all went in a wrong way. He is said to be detained by Indian officials at the airport for having the wrong visa stamped on his passport. Poor Bloom got detained from the airport and his trip was all spoiled.
According to Economic Times of India, Bloom is said to be deported from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport after arriving there at 1:30 a.m. it is reportedly said that he was not carrying a valid passport due to which he was detained from the airport.
However, after intervening of Sushma Swaraj, the external affairs minister he was later granted a legal and valid visa to enter India. It was earlier found that e-visa that he had applied for a month back was already rejected and henceforth due to not carrying a right visa he was detained back to Britain at 4 in the morning.
The renowned politician Amar Singh stated on the scoop that he had earlier applied for an e-visa in return to which he did not get any reply. He further mentioned that he though to get a visa on arrival, but he was sent back even when he was unwell and was advised for hospitalization.
The high-profile celebrity did get out of the scoop with the help of Swaraj but had a little messed up welcome in the country. He was here invited to be a part of a government programs related to tourism and not its all dented in the name of visa which could be handled in a nicer way, as stated by Standard.
Orlando Bloom was later spotted with politician Amar Singh during his visit to Agra.
