Heughan took to Sony Pictures Entertainment YouTube channel to promote the “Ultimate Collection” and it was so adorable. And that accent! The Blu-ray edition of “Outlander” Season 1 was recently launched and it’s a box set containing a picture book as well as some BTS info. Fans also get a treat to see some other extras from Season 1.

The “Outlander” Ultimate Collection also includes a secret compartment with pictures of Heughan and his co-star Caitriona Balfe who plays Claire Randall. For the die-hard fans out there, you can definitely have these photos framed and add to your growing “Outlander” collection. Heughan also shared his favourite part of the collection. In other “Outlander” news, Diana Gabaldon revealed during her Radio Times interview that the rape scene Jaime suffered in the first season may not happen again. That rape scene was one of the most controversial and shocking scenes last season and Season 2 will dive deeper into what really happened between Jaime and Black Jack Randall played by Tobias Menzies.

Gabaldon also shared that rape scene in “Outlander” Season 1 was a very integral part of the plot and added, “In the book, it builds the conflict, which is actually a triangle, you might say, amongst Claire, Jamie and Black Jack Randall. You see it developing – the dimensions and aspects – through the entire story!”
