‘Outlander’ Season 2 Brings in New Characters

New characters are coming in for “Outlander” Season 2. Read below for the full details:

Rosie Day has been cast to play the role of Mary Hawkins. Her character is described as the “daughter of a minor baronet and the niece of Silas Hawkins. Engaged to a member of the French nobility, Mary, who struggles with a nervous stammer, finds herself being used as a pawn in the power plays of her elders.”

Andrew Gower is also new to the show this season. He will play the role of Prince Charles Edward Stuart who has a plan to regain the throne. Romann Berrux is cast as Fergus, a French man who is also a pickpocket and very loyal to the Frasers.

Dominique Pinon will play Master Raymond who owns an apothecary. He will share such interesting knowledge about the occult and politics.

Season 2 of “Outlander” is jampacked with so many new interesting characters on board and so much stuff happening! The show is currently in production.

“Outlander” Season 2 will follow Diana Gabaldon’s second book titled “Dragonfly in Amber.”

Speaking to TV Line, Ronald Moore, executive producer of the show also gave some details about the upcoming season. He said:

“It’s going to be a whole different tone, a whole different… playing the story as much more political. We’re dealing with the Jacobite Rebellion. It’s much more about deception, and lies within lies, and the gossips and the surroundings of Paris.”

“Outlander” Season 2 returns on Starz in 2016.
