“Outlander” Season 1 has just wrapped up and after its controversial rape and torture scenes, it managed to end on a bright note. However, fans still can’t take their minds off from what Randall did to Jaime (I do, too) and they wonder, what’s next for the TV series. I have some spoilers to share with you below:
The second season of “Outlander” is described to be “fashionable” because it is reported to be set in Paris during King Louis XV’s reign. Yes so, Paris, France and its fashion is going to indeed, fashionable. This also means that Season 2 will be different from Season 1, which was set in 18th century Scottish Highlands. Expect new costumes, colors and fabric!
The production for “Outlander” Season 2 has already started and Ron Moore, the creator of the TV series offered fans a glimse of what’s to come next season, “It’s a great setting, and what was one of the most populated cities in the world at that time. French society, it’s Aristocracy, the colors are brighter. You’re talking about fine linens and silks, you’re talking about gilt chandeliers, you know, everything that your mind conjured up when you say Versailles or Paris of that era. Suddenly our characters who lived in a Scottish world for all of season one are in that world, so it’s going to look and feel very different, which is exciting, you know. And the story is also different in that it’s much more political, it’s much more conspiracy, it’s much more lies and gossips and double dealing in Paris salons and so on, and building towards a war. It’s all setting the stage for Jacobite invasion of Scotland and will history repeat itself.”
Exciting, isn’t it?
I can’t wait to see such vibrant colors this time and I am so excited as well to see how Claire and Jaime will tackle the awesome news – her pregnancy and of course, there’s also Jaime who still has to deal with what happened to him and Randall.
