“Outlander” Season 2 is already underway and although its release date next year hasn’t been announced yet, the excitement for the return of the series as well as the beloved characters of the show has increased as it gets closer and closer to next year and when new information resurfaces online. One of the latest issues in the world of “Outlander” today is Brianna’s character, Jamie and Claire’s daughter.

“Outlander” is based on the book by Diana Gabaldon. However, there has been news that due to Claire’s pregnancy, the plot this season will stray a bit farther from where the second season should be based from. In fact, there has also been a casting call for Brianna’s character. So, this means that “Outlander” Season 2 will be a bit different from Gabaldon’s novels.

It is also known that Brianna will take Frank Randall’s surname, Claire’s real husband and Brianna would be living with Frank sometime in Season 2. Still, Brianna would travel back in time to meet Jaime, her real father. This would definitely be an exciting twist. There is really a lot of things to look forward to in the upcoming season of the hit Starz series.

Last week, news about Brianna Randall to be played by Maeve Foley has been dismissed by the show’s producer Maril Davis. She took to her Twitter account to announce that casting news will only be announced via their official “Outlander” accounts. Well, that did excite the fans when Foley looks like she could play the perfect Brianna as she has all physical qualities described in the book.

“Outlander” Season 2 may be a bit different from Gabaldon’s novels, but it will still stick to its plot line. However, it will give fans more delightful twists and turns that will definitely keep them hooked. And Gabaldon’s up for it as well, so there really is no problem!
