“Outlander” star Sam Heughan attended his very first Comic-Con in San Diego together with Caitriona Balfe and the rest of the cast of the Starz series in 2014. Now that Comic-Con 2015 is here again, the 35-year-old Scottish actor let us in on his best Comic-Con story. Read below for the scoop:
Heughan recently shared his story for EW’s Greatest Story Ever Told video series, wearing a black sweater and a pair of jeans only. Heughan talked about his “welcoming committee” during his first comic-con, which was full of warm greetings. Heughan, who plays the role Jamie Fraser, recounted that he could really feel the outburst of excitement from “Outlander” fans. As a first timer of the comic convention, he got emotional when he came face-to-face with his show’s huge fanbase shouting “Outlander!” over and over again.
Heughan also shared that he once came across the same group of fans on the road and shouted “Outlander” from the window of his car. What Heughan didn’t expect, however, was that his deed would send the group into a state of frenzy.
“Suddenly, it was like the homecoming. These, all these Highlanders turned around and they saw me and they all started shouting ‘Outlander!'”
The Scottish actor felt that his first time at the convention was indeed, the best. He didn’t expect that things would turn out that way and he is so grateful to all the fans who continue love their fantasy series on Starz.
We also want to say how hot Heughan is on the video! Isn’t he getting hotter and hotter? How can it be legal that he’s THAT hot and an amazing actor at the same time?
