Outlander” is still being widely discussed after Season 1 wrapped up. It may be on hiatus as it prepares for its Season 2, but its actors Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are keeping themselves busy. The popularity of the hit Starz series has really done a good deal to the two main stars and recently, Heughan was given the opportunity to star in “Oxford” along with Melissa Benoist.

Benoist is playing “Supergirl” on CBS and will also be playing opposite Heughan in “Oxford.” Heughan will play the role of Benoit’s love interest and it has also been revealed that it’s going to be a sad love story because Heughan’s character is suffering from cancer. In that case, the two will find more time to be with each other and spend most of it together. Fans will see them going around the world and making the most out of their remaining time together.

“Oxford” will be a good sad love story that will tug at our heartstrings and it is certainly something to look forward to. With Heughan’s outstanding performance on “Outlander” Season 1, it is guaranteed that he would be as outstanding in “Oxford” as well.

Fans are also rooting to see strong chemistry between Benoist and Heughan, especially that both are known for their strong skills onscreen.

“Outlander” has really opened up interesting opportunities for the actors of the series and although Heughan may be working on something else, but he will always be the Jamie Fraser that we have grown to love and we can’t wait to see him back as Jaime!

If “Oxford” becomes a success, it will be a great boost to Benoist and Heughan’s career.
