Sometimes money just can’t buy everything. In the case of Conrad Hilton, brother of Paris Hilton, he probably won’t be getting his way so easily now due to his being arrested for going berserk and physically violent in a plane last year.

On Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, Hilton was arrested due to charges filed by the Los Angeles federal prosecutors for allegedly causing quite a violent scene during an international flight from London to Los Angeles dated last July 31, 2014. Hilton was due to show up in court that afternoon to face the allegations.

According to TMZ, during the 10-hour flight, Hilton was screaming profanities and threatening to fight and even kill the flight crew who approached to calm him down. “I will f—king own anyone on this flight; they are f—king peasants,” were what came out of Hilton’s mouth according to witnesses.

Things turned rather violent when he grabbed a flight attendant’s shirt and threatened to fire the flight crew, saying, “I could get you all fired in 5 minutes. I know your boss! My father will pay this out. He has done it before. Dad paid $300k last time.” He also punched the bulkhead of the plane, nearly hitting a flight attendant’s face. At this point, some of the children on board started crying. Finally, Hilton fell asleep, so to avoid further trouble, the captain had the crew handcuffed him to his seat.

Further details from the criminal complaint reveal that Hilton was angry due to a breakup with his girlfriend and has been smoking marijuana inside the plane, which was affirmed by the witnesses as some smelled marijuana from the plane’s bathroom. Aside from being arrested for his behavior, Hilton was also banned from boarding other airlines.

In a statement released by Hilton’s attorney Robert Shapiro, Hilton’s behavior was caused by a sleeping pill he took before the flight. Shapiro added that, aside from Hilton’s case, there are many cases of people having aggressive outbursts upon taking sleeping pills.
