“Partners” will be running back-to-back double episodes alongside returning series, “Anger Management,” beginning Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on FX. The arrangement will form part of the 10/90 setup that “Anger Management” has been doing for the network, which “Partners” will also follow. Read further to know more about this story.
In a press release published on Zap2it, FX announced that Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management” will begin airing right after “Partners,” which will have its debut on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.
“Anger Management,” whose previous arrangement was to deliver 80 episodes out of 100, has almost completed its series order, with the show entering syndication by September. “Partners” has a similar arrangement with the network with its 10/90 model, meaning, the show will run its first 10 episodes before the network confirms a straight 90-episode order from which a syndication deal will follow. This syndication model, which has been pioneered by Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury, is almost unique to the network.
“Anger Management” started its run with the first 10 episodes last June 2012. The ensemble cast includes Brian Austin Green, Shawnee Smith, Laura Bell Bundy, Noureen DeWulf, Michael Arden, Derek Richardson, Barry Corbin, Brett Butler and Daniela Bobadilla.
“Partners” will bring back former TV stars Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence to the small screen and joining them as series regulars are Telma Hopkins, Rory O’Malley, McKaley Miller, Edi Patterson and Danièle Watts.
