“Passengers” movie is a new sci-fi romantic drama featuring Jennifer Lawrence as Aurora and Chris Pratt as Jim. The romantic journey of Aurora and Jim in “Passengers” movie has come at a huge price for the production team.
Reportedly, it went through many hassles before agreeing on the movie budget. J Law is getting a payout of $20 million, proving her celebrity power. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Rothman, former 20th Century Fox Executive, wasn’t interested in giving out such a huge salary to Lawrence and reportedly wanted to replace her.
The movies budget is set at $80 million and max till $95 million, and taking under consideration Lawrence’s salary, it is as much as a quarter of the whole movie budget. Adding troubles for Rothman, Sony cleared that the movie is very important to them as it stars two huge actors, Lawrence and Chris Pratt.
Also, Lawrence’s agents made it clear that they have already been promised the payout and they are not going to accept any lower figure than that. The payout of Chris Pratt is around $12 million combined with $3 million to “The Imitation Game” director, Morten Tyldum. The sci-fi tale “Passengers” has already hit $40 million with the payouts only, before even taking a single frame shot.
Meanwhile, it was reported by E! Online that Lawrence will be sporting blonde look for “Passengers” movie. Jennifer Lawrence even talked about ‘bizarre’ and ‘weird’ sex scene with Chris Pratt in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, “I got really, really drunk. But then that led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, “What have I done? I don’t know.” And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that.”
“Passengers” is scheduled to release on December 21, 2016.
