WARNING! Spoilers ahead! “Perception” Season 3 Episode 1 “Paris,” which was aired on June 17, 2013, was directed by Ken Biller and written by Michael Sussman. In “Paris,” Daniel has finally been living a picture-perfect life in Paris. He also met a woman named Miranda, who became his girlfriend and companion. During his trip, he was approached by a certain Agent Drexler who worked for the FBI. He was tapped to take on an international case for them.

Daniel was told to find the neuropharmacologist named Dr. Sung at the Sorbonne. He was ordered to get the pen from the smart pill developer and put it under a loose cobblestone in a cathedral. Back at his place that he shared with Miranda, he saw her talking to Serge, the French Ministry of Culture. She told Daniel that Serge broke her cello.

He was outside when he was threatened to find what they need and took his passport. He sought the help of Kate (Rachel Leigh Cook), who was busy with Donnie (Scott Wolf) in the shower. They talked and agreed that Kate must go to Paris. His problem got worse when he met the real Agent Drexler. He was also the one who found the dead Sung and a pesky mime. At the Embassy, he was thought of being crazy after he told the story. He was later released by Serge, who was set to accompany Miranda back to Berlin.

With Kate’s help, they traced the mime back. They also found that Serge was the perpetrator and a double agent. Plus, they learned that he was going to smuggle things inside Miranda’s broken cello to the border. Serge was arrested while Daniel was set free.

On the other hand, Max (Arjay Smith) and Paul (LeVar Burton) had succeeded in getting Daniel back to teach. He was also given a lot in incentives if he goes back. Previously, he flew to Paris after he was accused of stalking Caroline (Kelly Rowan), his ex-lover. He also left his teaching job at the Chicago Lake Michigan University (CLMU) after the parents of the students became concerned about his paranoid schizophrenia disorder.
