Petit’s Death Defying World Trade Center Walk Received a Hollywood Treatment

When Phillipe Petit made his death-defying incredible wire walk between the twin towers, people are questioning his sanity. In fact, he was immediately handcuffed and arrested by policemen. Petit made his historic walk across the World Trade Center eight times at 1,350 feet in 45 minutes before the police scrambled to the rooftop to put n end to his illegal walk.

Although the Frenchman was arrested, he was not convicted because he was released soon after promising that he will give a free show for kids in Central Park. He was also given a lifetime pass granting him access to the Twin Towers’ observation deck.
