Pippa Middleton, more popularly known as the younger sister of Kate Middleton or Her Royal Highness Princess Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, talked at length about her life as Kate’s sister with “Today’s” Matt Lauer. The interview was aired in two parts on NBC on June 30, 2014 and July 1, 2014. Read on to learn more about this story.
Pippa, 30, who gained prominence during the Royal Wedding in 2011, has never discussed about her life so publicly until this interview. She said that despite her sister’s new high-profile status, there had been no changes in their relationship, and that they still spend plenty of time together as a family and believes that this helps her sister to stay grounded.
“Yeah. Yeah, we do we have a very normal, sisterly relationship. We’re very close. And, you know, we support each other and get each other’s opinions and things,” said Pippa to Lauer, who flew all the way to London to meet with her for this exclusive, as reported by Daily Mail.
Pippa gushed when the discussion led to her nephew Prince George, whom she describes as “an amazing dear boy” and clearly the pride of the family.
Working as a columnist and an event’s planner, Pippa also shared her insights on the criticisms she and her sister receive on social media. She admitted that she felt being bullied at times, especially when most of the stories are not true. She also said that it has been difficult, but she tries to live her life “like any 30-year-old.”
The royal sister also talked about that famous bridesmaid’s dress she wore at her sister’s wedding, saying that it was supposed to blend with Kate’s train and be insignificant. She revealed that the dress is still neatly kept in her wardrobe at home and considers showing it to her grandchildren one day.
Earlier, Page Six reported that NBC is interested in hiring Pippa as its correspondent for special events.
