Pitch Perfect 3 Movie Holds Dubsmash Virtual Auditions

Following the blockbuster success of parts one and two, Variety recently announced that “Pitch Perfect 3” is set for release in June 2017. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will be reprising their roles as Beca Mitchell and Fat Amy, respectively.

What’s new? We already know, that right? But hear this, Barden Bella wannabes in the UK now have a chance to join the movie through a virtual audition. Read on for more details.

According to BBC, Universal has announced that hopefuls can audition virtually through the mobile app, Dubsmash. All they have to do is recreate a clip from the movie, using the app, and then post it to Instagram, Twitter, or Vine. Most importantly, contestants must not forget to include the hashtag #PitchSmashUK.

The entry with the most artistic clip and the best lip synching skills will be awarded with a trip of a lifetime, as well as the chance to see their name in movie credits, and of course let us not forget, bragging rights.

The lucky winner will be announced on September 21st, coinciding with the DVD and Blu-Ray launch of “Pitch Perfect 2”. (via Breaking News)

In celebration of “Pitch Perfect 2” grossing $260 million worldwide within a month, Kendrick paid homage with an Instagram post, saying “Happening #3”.

Paul Brooks (Gold Circle Entertainment), along with Max Handelman, and Elizabeth Banks (Brownstone Productions) are returning to produce for the third instalment.

Universal and Gold Circle have already made arrangements for screenwriter Kay Cannon’s return.

The original film was adapted from Mickey Rapkin’s book “Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory”, and directed by Jason Moore, while “Pitch Perfect 2”, was directed Banks, who also reprised her role as commentator Gail Abernathy-McKadden-Feinberger.
