“Pitch Perfect 3” has been confirmed and is set to return to the big screen in 2017. Read on.
According to reports, “Pitch Perfect 3” cast will reprise their role. Anna Kendrick who plays the character of Beca will be back for the third installment, as well as Fat Amy, played by Rebel Wilson and Elizabeth Banks who played the role of Gail, the host, and commentator in the film. She will also be directing the 2017 film franchise.
Ryan Seacrest previously reported that Kendrick, Wilson, and Banks were the first three artists who were confirmed to return in the original cast. The other stars who were rumored to have a comeback include Brittany Snow who played the role of Chloe and Hailee Steinfield, who first had an appearance in the second film as Emily Junk.
Adding on, Playbill Club reported that writer Kay Cannon who pen the first two movies was assigned to write the script for the third installment. She will be working alongside with Banks, who has been confirmed to direct the film once again as she successfully handled “Pitch Perfect 2.” Banks will also co-produce the movie.
The film is set to return on August 4, 2017, after it was rescheduled by Universal Pictures. The third movie was originally scheduled to have its premiere on July 21, 2017, but was moved due to the delay of “Pacific Rim 2” production, accoriing to Refinery29
On the other hand, as of writing, there’s still no details regarding the film’s plot, however, fans of Barden Bellas are confident that new and old choirs like Das Sound Machine will be participating in “Pitch Perfect 3.”
As we all know, Das Sound Machine was Bellas biggest rival in the second movie, so it will not be a surprise if they will have a comeback. Peter Kramer, one of the members of the choir told to Perez Hilton that he has high hopes that they’ll be returning to the third movie.
