“Pitch Perfect” promotes the value of camaraderie as the Barden Bellas perform on stage, but it turns out that two of its lead stars, Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are not exactly fond of starring alongside each other. Reports claim that the “Pitch Perfect 3” stars were never fond of each other from the beginning. Find out why. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“Pitch Perfect 3” has officially been confirmed. Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick have also announced that they will be reprising their roles as Fat Amy and Beca, respectively in the upcoming sequel. While Kendrick and Wilson’s characters onscreen share the best kind of friendship one could ever think of, it turns out that these two are not fond of each other behind-the-scenes.
“Anna loves the limelight, and the fact that Rebel gets more attention for being funny really gets to her. She can be pretty rude to Rebel at times,” an insider told Woman’s Day.
The source added that the 35-year-old Australian comedian, on the other hand, finds Kendrick too “uptight.”
While Kendrick and Wilson stayed mum and never confirmed or denied these allegations, another report about the two “Pitch Perfect 3” stars made rounds on the Internet.
Fans Share cited several reports that prove that the alleged rift between Kendrick and Wilson is true.
The outlet reported that Kendrick was notably given a higher salary increase than Wilson, seemingly confirming rumors about their alleged rift.
Kendrick was allegedly offered $6 million to reprise her role as Beca in the upcoming “Pitch Perfect 2” sequel. The outlet noted that this is more than twice as high as Wilson’s offer at $2.8 million.
“Leverage is often a powerful thing and one actress who seems to possess a large amount of it because of her talent and professionalism is Anna Kendrick as demonstrated by her recent pay raise,” the outlet noted.
Kendrick and Wilson have yet to comment on the issue.
