An alleged rift has been seen between the American talk show host and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia De Rossi, a lesbian couple, as the former wants to undergo plastic surgery, which is strongly opposed by her partner. Read on for more details.
According to In Touch Weekly, the 57-year old host hates the wrinkles around her eyes and her turkey neck. Hence, she wants to go under the knife.
“She wanted to get work down while The Ellen DeGeneres Show is on summer break, [but] Portia talked her out of it,” an unnamed source reported to the outlet.
“She did not want Ellen ridiculed, like she has been about her changing face,” the source continued. “Ellen’s grumbling that now she has to wait another year to get anything done.”
A rumor is in the air that the reason behind De Rossi’s antagonistic behavior is her fear of DeGeneres’s new face becoming the butt of everyone’s new jokes after she undergoes plastic surgery and all other medical procedures.
The award-winning host is determined to diminish the impression of her aged look and to emerge as a comparatively young star. However, she has a busy schedule and she feels that this challenging task should be accomplished as early as possible.
Classicalite reported that DeGeneres wished to undergo plastic surgery while “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is on summer break. But she is allegedly repenting for not finishing with it.
It has been reported that the couple had a non-stop fight after returning from a week-long vacation in South Africa. Their fight was related to De Rossi’s career as she said to DeGeneres that when she would start filming “Scandal” again, she would be “married” to her job.
The Hollywood actress was married to Mel Metcalfe, a documentary filmmaker from 1996 to 2001. She began dating the host in 2005 and publicly talked about her sexual orientation. They got married on Aug. 16, 2008.
