Britney Spears may or may not be having a tiff with Iggy Azalea. The singers seemed to be thick as thieves when they were shooting the “Pretty Girls” video, but the video failed to be a hit and they have now taken to blaming each other for the video missing the mark in music land.

MTV reported that Iggy Azalea divulged her secret misgiving on twitter when she was asked as to why she thought their musical number didn’t do as well on the charts. “It’s difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc,” Iggy Azalea told the denizens of the twitterverse. She was quick to explain that she wasn’t pointing any fingers, but few on the internet really believed her.

Britney responded in kind and carped about the former friend on Twitter too. Message looked innocent enough, but many of her fans believe that the singer was taking a dig at Iggy and her insinuation about the song, “Pretty Girls.” Britney Spears tweeted that she was looking forward to going back to her home in Las Vegas and added somewhat cryptically, “So thankful I have shows for the rest of the year to look forward to… #YouWantAPieceOfMe.” The message looked pristine and envy-free, but the hash tag seemed to be pointing at something else. Is it just us reading too much into the message or are the readers reading some anger there too?

For some reason, Iggy said something even more scathing on twitter next. When she was told by a fan that even if Pretty Girls flopped a little bit, it was still getting a lot of views on YouTube and it is still the summer anthem of 2015, she struck back by tweeting, “I would have enjoyed performing it alot, i think it got off to a powerful start. but you need content to compete in 2015.”

Iggy was quick to deny rumors that said that she was not friends with Britney Spears anymore, but we see it different. Because, as they say, where there is smoke, there probably is a fire.
