“Pretty Little Liars” (PLL) Season 5 Episode 4 “Thrown From the Ride” aired on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. on ABC Family. Alison was coming up with more lies, while Spencer grew suspicious of her parents. Read on to learn more about this episode.

Previously on “Pretty Little Liars” (“Thrown from the Ride”), Alison (Sasha Pieterse), along with Hanna (Ashley Benson), went to the doctor to be examined. She recorded what they have talked about and asked the girls to study the recording and try to remember Ali’s conversation with the doctor so their stories would match up. What made Ali’s physical examination interesting was the doctor asking her about the scar in her leg. She said that she got it from an accident. However, the doctor insisted that the scar looked like a cut from a knife. Hanna asked Ali about the scar, but she did not tell Hanna the story.

Aria (Lucy Hale) still could not seem to get over what happened to Shana (Aeriel Miranda). She was still paranoid about it. In fact, Mona (Janel Parrish) joked about Shana, then suddenly Aria was thinking that maybe Mona knew that she killed Shana. To make matters worse, Aria found a video of Shana’s funeral and watched it. What made it more creepy was she thought she saw Shana sitting on the casket, staring at her.

In a confrontation between Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and her mom, Mrs. Hastings (Lesley Fera) revealed to her daughter that when Ali disappeared, Mrs. DiLaurentis (Andrea Parker) was accusing Spencer that she had something to do with it. While gardening, Andrew (Brandon W. Jones) found a rat poison, which was weird because Spencer claimed that they never had pest problems. But that was not the unnerving part. Spencer, while looking for an adhesive bandage, stumbled on some pills on her dad’s medicine cabinet — the same pill which killed Mrs. DiLaurentis according to police findings.

Emily (Shay Mitchell), on the other hand, tried to convince Ali that it might be better for her not to come back to Rosewood High. However, Ali has already decided.

What do you think about this episode? Did Mr. Hastings (Nolan North) kill Mrs. DiLaurentis?
