Witness a new kind of gamble in the new episode of “Project Runway: All Stars” Season 4 Episode 6 “Luck Be a Lady,” which aired last Dec. 11, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. on Lifetime. In this episode, the designers have fun with a unique risky game, people are bothered with Helen’s past experience with Russian roulette, Jay goes to battle mode when Helen criticizes his outfit and judges are not in the mood for masquerade. Read on to know what the designers gamble for.

Alyssa Milano welcomes the contestants to a challenge that they get to choose their own fabric and event. Everyone is excited. However, Alyssa warns them the challenge is not as easy as it looks. The designers will choose through “fashion gamble.” They must roll two dice to gamble on fabric and event.

Fabio’s dice show denim and masquerade ball, Sonjia, brocade and bachelorette party and Samantha, brocade and awards ceremony. Everyone dreads the brocade because it is a heavy fabric.

Justin receives silk and gallery opening, Gunnar, brocade and masquerade ball, Michelle, lace and gallery opening and Jay, denim and Sunday brunch. Helen gets brocade and awards ceremony which is the same as Samantha’s. Dmitry wants to shoot himself for velvet and gallery opening, because he thinks velvet is the hardest fabric to work with.

While working, Michelle notices Sonjia is not using brocade. Fabio warns Sonjia to change the fabric. Even though Sonjia is irritated, she does not want to take a risk, so she changes her fabric.

Zanna enters and announces the winner will have his or her dress worn by Alyssa and will be featured on Marie Claire. She starts checking out each look. She thinks Justin is lucky to have the silk and gallery opening, but the design must not be predictable, Helen’s idea of high slit on the back is outrageous, Fabio’s choice of color is disturbing, Jay’s design is cheesy, Gunnar’s feathered top must be executed properly, Samantha must be careful with brocade pants because it is heavy, Dmitry must pursue the jumpsuit and Sonjia needs more “push.”  Michelle is the only one to receive pure positive comments from Zanna, so Helen feels intimidated.

As designers continue on their work, Michelle brings up the time Helen shared to Zanna that she and her godmother played Russian roulette in the past. Helen forgets saying it. Fabio and Michelle laugh even more. Fabio says Zanna’s face was uneasy. Helen defends it was just an accident, and she was tired. Fabio jokes Zanna did not criticize her garment too much because she was probably scared. Helen adds maybe that is why Zanna gave her a good critique.

While fitting the models, Helen is concerned that Jay’s outfit looks wrong for Sunday brunch. She approaches him as a friend and tells him that his model looks like a club girl with his outfit. Jay finds her comment offensive. Helen thinks he is unprofessional. To lighten the mood, somebody jokes maybe Jay was designing for country club.

The judges are Alyssa, Georgina Chapman, Isaac Mizrahi and the CFDA winner, Michael Bastian. Alyssa tells everybody that she will only wear the dress after she gives birth.

After the runway show, Jay, Dmitry and Samantha are safe. They are asked to leave the runway.

Georgina likes Helen’s concept which is “fresh.” However, she is concerned with the slit, the midriff showing and the corset with “deep plunge.”  She says Helen should have chosen only one idea. Alyssa thinks the skirt looks tight. Isaac bluntly says the dress looks like an English sofa in Georgina’s apartment. Michael is happy that Helen focused on the back of the fabric.

Sonjia receives positive comments. The judges say she captures the essence of a bachelorette party in Las Vegas. The only concern of Georgina is to lighten the fabric on the neckline.

Isaac says Justin’s dress has wrong proportions. Georgina tells Justin he should have excluded the sleeves. Michael is disappointed that Justin had the easiest fabric and event, yet he did not execute it properly.

Alyssa does not like the high-low skirt of Gunnar’s dress because it looks bad on petite women. Isaac thinks the fringe seems “unresolved,” and the dress looks inexpensive. Georgina says the top is unflattering.

All the judges love Michelle’s outfit. It looks expensive. The only concern is the structure of the skirt, but they do not care much.

Fabio’s pink denim dress disappointed the judges. Georgina tells him he should have used the real denim. Michael stresses why he used the least denim-like. Isaac frankly says Georgina is being nice to say the dress is okay because for him, it really is not okay. He also hates the styling because of Fabio’s pearl necklace on the model’s head. He thinks the dress looks unfinished.

Sonjia is the winner of the challenge. The bottom two is Fabio and Gunnar. Gunnar is eliminated.

“I’m excited to see what comes,” Gunnar says happily as he walks out the door.
