Ridley Scott confirmed that the stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace would return in his next film “Prometheus 2.” The director also revealed that this sequel film’s title would be “Alien: Paradise Lost.”
According to Screen Rant, the production of “Prometheus 2” titled as “Alien: Paradise Lost” begins in February 2016. The director Scott also has plans to make “Prometheus 3” and “Prometheus 4.”
Scott aims is connecting the predecessors of “Alien: Paradise Lost” not only to Scott’s original “Alien” movie, but also to the Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming “Alien 5.”
In an interview with YAHOO! Movies, Scott confirmed that the “Paradise Lost” plot begins where Prometheus left off to the Engineers homeworld with Elizabeth Shaw and David, taking the Engineer ship.
The director also revealed that they are planning to bring back Michael Fassbender, “perhaps with Engineer technology.” He also disclosed that Fassbender would get a “new body or get reattached to his old one.”
“That’s where they’re going to go. They will find out who would design such an awful bio-mechanoid creature, like a massive piece of bacteria,” the director explained about David and Shaw’s exploration of the homeworld of the Engineers.
In the sequel, David and Shaw would explore the planet inhabited the alien race, the Engineers, who created humanity, and the dangerous parasite or Xenomorphs. “Prometheus 3” and “Prometheus 4” would be about the mystery behind the alien race, and the Xenomorphs. The director further added that “there’s a similarity” in the stories between “Prometheus 2” and Milton’s “Fall of Man.”
“Prometheus 2”/ “Alien: Paradise Lost” would be about the story of “David and Shaw visiting and exploring the homeworld of the Engineers.” The release date of the film is yet to be officially confirmed.
