Psy to Make Comeback In December 2015

The Hallyu Wave had well been under way, globally, when, in 2012, Psy’s hit and catchy song, “Gangnam Style”, took the world by storm, as it and its music video became viral almost overnight. This, of course, put the rapper and musician unexpectedly into the spotlight of the world, as he had managed to create a global breakthrough, which had unprecedented success in the market. Since then, Psy has still been creating music, but hasn’t really released any albums since 2012. However, fans of Psy will not have to wait long for more of his musical samplings, as he has just announced that he will be dropping a new album very soon. Read on to learn more about Psy’s upcoming comeback and new album.

The musician and rapper known as Psy gained worldwide fame with his hit song, “Gangnam Style.” It became a hit online and around the world almost overnight- an unprecendented success that no one had really seen coming.

People around the world had their eyes on Korea and on Psy as the public hummed, sang and danced to the catchy beat of the song that put Psy on the world map.

However, since then, and since his last album, according to Billboard, the rapper hasn’t released any new albums yet, until today.

Recently the rapper and musician took to his official Twitter account to announce the good and exciting news that his new album, which will also be serving as his comeback album, will drop on Dec. 1, 2015.

In order to announce this, he posted a cartoon poster of himself wearing sunglasses, along with the date of the planned release.

Not much is known about the upcoming album, as the poster didn’t reveal what Psy would be calling his upcoming album.

However, Soompi’s insider sources have revealed that Psy had been able to create a song that reflects him more, and a song that he is happy with, and that he had wanted to release it first in Korea, before it goes global or viral.
