“The Queen Latifah Show,” hosted by the actress, singer & entertainer Queen Latifah, has been cancelled. Although the series will wrap by the end of this year, new episodes of the show will continue to air until March 2015. Read on to learn more about this scoop.

“The Queen Latifah Show” debuted on Sept. 16, 2013 and was renewed for a second season in January 2014. At the 40th People's Choice Awards, Queen Latifah won the Favorite New Talk Show Host award. The television talk show program features celebrity interviews, human interest stories, musical performances, and Queen Latifah's take on pop culture news. Latifah also covered the public across the nation to share persuasive stories, celebrates individuals who have made extraordinary contributions towards society, and delivers life-transforming disclosures.

“The Queen Latifah Show” is filmed before a live studio audience at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California.  It airs in broadcast syndication on CBS Television Stations, which is produced by Flavor Unit Entertainment, Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television. The set for the series was designed by Lenny Kravitz's design firm, Kravitz Design. The cancellation of “The Queen Latifah Show” wasn't a surprise to those involved in the show because the show struggled with finances and ratings over its period. It measured a low domestic rating of 1.1 with 1.4 million consistent viewers.

“When they launched the second season, they knew it was make or break time,” “The writing was already on the wall,” revealed a source close to the production told The Wrap. The syndicated daytime show host, the musician, actress, producer and TV personality announced  the news on her Facebook page in a letter addressed to herself and her cast and crew.

Here's the full copy of Latifah's letter:

"Dear Dana,
