Raw movie has been making waves since it premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. While the French horror movie received good reviews from the most part, its quality is not the reason why it became so notorious. The movie directed by Julia Ducournau left viewers vomiting after a screening during the 2016 Toronto Film Festival. And it is coming to the U.S.
The cannibal movie will open in theaters in the U.S. this month. Weeks before its release, new teasers have emerged online. In the newest sneak peek, Justine (Garance Marillier) wakes up to discover that her body is covered with an itchy rash.
Thirst For Meat
The scene comes after the hazing ritual where Justine was forced to eat raw rabbit kidney to fit in with her new classmates. A vegetarian her whole life, this was the first time that the young woman has tasted meat and it gave her an appetite for human flesh. In the video titled Itchy Skin, Justine awakened with itchy marks on her whole body.
This one-minute video is not the first teaser published online ahead of the movie’s theatrical release. In another video Yellow and Blue Make Green, Justine was locked inside a room with a male classmate. They were covered in blue and yellow paint and they can only come out when they are both entirely green. However, kissing is not the carnal desire that Justine has in mind. Focus released another video called Rookie prior to that. Watch below.
