Recently, NeNe Leakes felt tired over the on-going rumors about leaving the show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA). The 47-year-old actor finally announced the news on June 29, 2015. She said that she is ready “to focus on other aspects of her career.” Since the announcement, there were discussions going on about who will replace her in the show? Or will she return in the show as any other character? Read on for more details.
According to several reports, there’s only one name that comes to mind, who can replace Leakes and that is Quad Webb-Lunceford. In an interview with Perez Hilton, she said that she’s having a lot of questions about joining the RHOA so who knows that she might be joining the show.
Webb stars in the Bravo reality TV series “Married to Medicine,” which is based on doctors and wives of doctors who sometimes struggle to handle their career, family and social life. The show is on its third season and there are total seven leads in the show including Webb.
“They’re like ‘Ok, Quad, we love you in ‘Married to Medicine’ but you should be on ‘Real Housewives on Atlanta.” Webb said.
Although Webb kind of seems to be interested about it, but it would be difficult to get around the contract she’s having with “Married to Medicine.”
It’s still to uncover that whether or not Webb will be joining the drama, chaos and fun in “Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 8, but it would definitely be exciting to see her dealing with other housewives outside of her medical-dominated circle.
Speculating the reason behind Leakes departure from the show, IBTimes reported about her appearance on Interview with Lax. During the interview, the former “RHOA” star reassured that salary wasn’t the reason for her departure, but the conflicts in her schedules. She confirms that she will not be returning to the show in season 8. That doesn’t mean she’s completely isolated from it, however, she might come back in later seasons.
