"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Williams once again finds herself behind bars, this time for breaking the law with her overspeeding car. Read on for further details.
Though further details are rather sketchy for now, TMZ reported that Williams was arrested for overspeeding in a 55-zone Atlanta highway.
“A trooper made a traffic stop for speeding. The driver, Porsha Dyanne Williams, age 33 from Duluth, was charged with speeding (78 in a 55 mph zone) and driving with a suspended license for failure to appear. She was transported to the Atlanta City Jail,” explained Franka Young of the Department of Public Safety in a statement.
It was not mentioned as to how long she was detained in Atlanta City Jail, although she later got out after posting bail of $1,726. She was later seen with a companion over at the Decatur Impound, about to get her car back.
Williams previously made the news in April 2014 for attacking co-star Kenya Moore during a reunion taping of their show. According to TMZ, Moore pressed charges for the assault, using a raw footage of the fight shot by Bravo for evidence. Williams was then arrested for misdemeanor battery.
Issues have arisen after this fight, since it is believed to have caused Williams’ demotion from her previous regular role in the show’s new season. However, in an exclusive interview back in October, an insider revealed the reason: “There just wasn’t enough storyline with her. Not enough access, not enough storyline.” And there’s no doubt that Williams is angry about it.
“Oh, you bet, but she’s got to keep face. She’s not to speak of it, but yes, she’s mad. She didn’t want to go out this way,” a source close to Williams said.
Do you think Williams’ demotion from "Real Housewives of Atlanta" made her want to make a publicity stunt like this, or she just needed the speed? Post your comments below.
