Fans of the Bravo reality series may have a long waiting to do before Season 7 premieres on TV. The network is reportedly delaying filming in order to wait for one of its stars, Teresa Giudice. The 43-year-old star is currently serving a 15-month sentence in prison after pleading guilty of fraud.
The cast and crew of “RHONJ” are reportedly waiting for Giudice’s release from prison. It was in order to put the show’s Season 7 in motion. It has been previously reported that there are several speculations that the Bravo reality series will begin filming in November even without Giudice. However, recent reports claim that the show will be waiting for her release from prison.
“Without Teresa there just isn’t a lot going on with the women. With her on board, cameras would film Joe’s final days with the family as he prepares to begin his 41 month prison sentence,” a source told Radar Online.
The insider also shared that Giudice’s expected release may also be featured in the second half of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” Season 7. Us Weekly reported that Giudice’s return in the reality series are still under talks and without any formal contracts. Also, the star has been recently asked to turn over a portion of her ‘RHONJ’ earnings, including a car to the Government.
The “RHONJ” alum is required to hand over 25 percent of her earnings from her reality series including her 2005 Maserati, as a means to pay for her $415, 589 restitution to victims of her fraud cases.
“We are in good standing with the government. The debt now is under $200,000,” Guidice’s lawyer said.
