Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ firstborn’s name is not Violet. Following the reports that the couple named their baby girl Violet, a reliable source revealed to E! News the baby’s name. Read on to know more about this scoop.
Reynolds’ wife, “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively, gave birth in December 2014 in Bedford, New York. Though earlier than expected, Lively gave birth to a healthy baby girl, and both of them were in good condition. A tweet from someone who claimed to be from Westchester Medical Center said that the baby’s name is Violet, but according to Page Six, it’s not true.
The couple has been tight-lipped on the details about the baby’s name until recently. On his appearance in the “Late Show with David Letterman,” Reynolds mentioned that he and Blake will choose a family name for the baby. David Letterman even ran down a list of possible names, which Reynolds said the name they want for the baby isn’t on the list. He did, however, mention that the baby has a first and a middle name. The actor also shared the bliss of being a father with Letterman.
“The second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby,” Reynolds told the talk show host.
“No, that’s not the name. I don’t want to get into that, but I don’t know where that came from,” said the 38-year-old actor. So what is the baby’s name?
It’s James. Yes, James Lively Reynolds. Why not? Her mother’s name is Blake. Popsugar noted that the couple might have chosen the name because Reynold’s father is James (he goes by Jim). Glamour liked the name a lot and noted that it has a “cool-girl vibe.” MailOnline, on the other hand, called it an unusual choice for a baby girl’s name.
