Actor John Stamos has recently owned up to the real reason behind his rehab stint early this year. It seems that his mother’s death left him struggling with grief and he needed professional help to recover.
John Stamos, the “Full House” star, was in headlines in the month of June when he was arrested by cops for driving under the influence in California and eventually went to a live-in rehab center.
According to a report by The Toronto Sun, the 52-year-old star thanked his friends and family members on social media for their love and support, after he left the facility
It looks like the actor is in the mood for public declarations about what led him to seek help. He shared his grief with Details magazine and said that he had a tough year when he saw his mother dying and her passing away was a big turning point in his life.
Stamos was earlier married to Rebecca Romjin, a model-turned-actress also admitted that he has been struggling a lot as he found himself out of jobs and with his aging process. He said that he lost discipline in his life for a while.
But the star also said that he is feeling much better now than he did in a decade or so.
Stamos said how he did not work much in the last five or six years and that was partially responsible for him being irresponsible during this period. Though he managed to get some high-profile assignments such as a few episodes in “Glee” or a “Super Bowl’ commercial, there were lot of times when he did not have any work and that was indeed dangerous for him and his state of mind.
The good news is that apparently his career is back on track. Stamos has a new TV series titled ”Grandfathered” in U.S. and is also looking forward to shows like” “Fuller House”.
